Opportunity Youth (At-Risk Youth)

Working with Opportunity Youth (at-risk youth) can be a challenging yet rewarding experience. At-risk youth are young people who face various obstacles or difficulties that put them at risk of negative outcomes, such as dropping out of school, engaging in substance abuse or delinquency, or experiencing mental health issues.

As a professional working with Opportunity Youth, it is important to approach your work with empathy and understanding. Many of these young people have experienced trauma or adverse experiences in their lives that can impact their behavior and attitudes. It is important to create a safe and supportive environment where they feel comfortable opening up and seeking help.
